Professor Chang Jia Rui
Author

Professor Chang Jia Rui was born on the June 1945, in Taiwan. For the past twenty years, he has researched and investigated the functions of the human body, and has developed what is now known as Natural Instinct Medicine.

Natural instinct medicine came arose from his study of Chinese medicine, which he has practiced for many years. He has written several books based on his research and findings from many case studies. His experiences in treating patients have shed new light on the body's remarkable healing abilities.

His methods are completely foreign to modern medicine. They are groundbreaking in the sense that they offer hope to people who are searching to achieve a more productive and healthier lifestyle, without dependence on prescription drugs.

He believes that our bodies, when fed the right foods, have the ability to self-heal. Medical assistance should only be a guide, and not a dependence. Sweating, tears, coughing, mucus, urination, pus, high temperature, body odours and skin irritations are natural phenomena, which allow discharge of toxins. In this way, our bodies constantly work hard to maintain a healthy balance. These toxins are created, among other things, by modern medication, and need to be released for our bodies to return to their balanced state.

It is Professor Chang's belief that you must first understand the human body's processes and trust its mechanisms of elimination and healing before adopting natural instinct medicine treatment methods.

This book has been written with over twenty years of the Professor's experience and knowledge. It is his desire that this book will convey to you his message for happier, healthier living.

Shu Shu Lu
Translator and Editor

It is my great pleasure to have undertaken the translation and editing of "The Body's Natural Instinct Medicine" and "The meaning of Truth AHealthy". The original author, Professor Chang Jia Rui, and I have spent the last two and a half years working on a project I firmly believe will benefit all of you.

During the translation and editing I have tried to present his knowledge as simply as possible. Many readers might become excited about the products mentioned in this book, but I do urge you from my heart to read these books several times, to fully understand the process before taking it on. Having commenced the treatment of natural instinct medicine myself, my advice comes from direct experience of the many aspects of its healing process.

During these past two and a half years I have encountered many challenges with this project. It has all been worthwhile as I am now able to present these books to anyone who wishes to benefit from them.

My deepest thanks to my friends and patients who have given me their unwavering support and encouragement. Their help with the English translation was invaluable.

My wish is for all of you who read this book to be enriched with health, wealth and happiness.

At the beginning of the 21st century medical science is becoming increasingly advanced and we understand much more about nutrition than ever before. Why it then that illness and disease are not decreasing? In their natural environments animals experience very few human diseases; however, domesticated animals begin to develop these diseases. Why is this case?

Nature, our universe, has its rules. For the most part, we understand and accept these. However, if we consider the human body as a miniature universe, then we must understand that it too has its rules. For example, many things we consider common health problems such as measles, chickenpox, phlegm, coughing, fever, athlete's foot, ulcers, vomiting, diarrhea and body odour should be seen as natural processes the body uses to excrete its wastes, acid and toxins ? they are no different to processes we do accept such as sweating and urinating.

This book examines how it is wrong to consider these processes as problems or diseases. We should instead look at them as our body's natural instinct balancing our system.

Teaching people a healthy way of life in today's world is very difficult, there are so many social and commercial pressures. If I were to say, "For people to be healthy they should mainly eat green vegetables and drink lots of water," there would be a chorus of disagreement.

I believe to have a healthy body one must go through a process whereby they will experience aches and pains, coughing, mucus, fever, vomiting, skin detoxification and many other symptoms. For example, healthy people will vomit and get diarrhea from time to time. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Vomiting and diarrhea can help to eliminate toxins from the body and increase the functioning of the stomach.

Most people have deep-rooted habits related to taking tablets and pills. However these medications restrain many of the body's natural processes. By taking such drugs we stop our body from excreting acids and toxins, leaving it unable to harmonise and find a natural balance. Another side effect of drugs is that they accumulate in our system and can result in serious diseases that are far more difficult to cure than the illnesses we are taking them for in the first place. Taking such pills seems to be a simple solution to most people. It is far more difficult to persuade people to change their lifestyle to improve their health.

As long as we continue to work against nature's rules, suppressing the body's ability to excrete toxins, we cannot live healthily. To be healthy we must follow the natural rhythms of our bodies, not work against them.

A letter to our great medical professionals

Dear great medical professionals
For human's health, you have worked hard and given up much of your time continuously for several decades of years. You have given up your most precious time in life to work for people. Your great sincerity and concern to people should gain our best respect.

During the recent half century, people are under the mercy of many illnesses, such as: diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, urine poisoning and tumor etc. Our great medical professionals are also under great pressure in handling these illnesses. Modern medical professionals still have not sorted solutions to cure the modern illness, such as diabetes, tumor, cancer, HIV etc. It seems that no people can escape from the modern illnesses.

People have researched medical theory since olden days with the main purpose in improving people's health and life span. Those wrong findings or blind spots in any medical theory or treating process are not the wish of all medical researchers. Nobody wishes to see that several decades' time spent in the medical research results in a medical theory not able to bring health to people, and also not able to protect own-self and family's health. If there are blind spots in modern medical theory, we should try to find the break through and find a new type of medical theory to improve self and people's health.

Dear medical professionals, we all aim at saving people at the expense of our life. In order to help and care for more people, we need to strengthen our own health first. We can give more time to help people to gain health if we can live longer. In order to help people to gain health in a new dimension, I am dedicated to show all my Natural Instinct Medicine Method research results that I have worked with over several decades. I hope people in the world with the same belief can also contribute aiming at more breakthroughs in improving people's health. There is an idiom that earth is not differentiated into north or south and people are also not differentiated into easterners or southerners. I think it also applies to medical study. I hope medical study in the twenty first century is not divided, and a combination of eastern and western medical theories can lead people to a new world of health and no illness. I hope all people are blessed with good health and fortune.

Your target in life

What is the purpose of life in this world? What do we do? We work hard our whole lives and what do we get in return? Why do most people strive hard all their lives? Who do we work hard for?

There is an old saying: "with money you can make the ghost work for you". Thus many people believe that the more money acquired the better. Of course, in a society driven by economics, you can go nearly anywhere with money, but nowhere without it. So if you are a millionaire, your life should be peaceful, full and happy? Maybe that is not truth.

In history, in every country, there have been plenty of great men and women. They may have been ravishingly beautiful, wealthy or held great power. But in the end, they still returned to the soil. Subsequently, what do we seek when we work tirelessly? When life is so short, what should we set as our target in life?

Today

Today's hospitals are getting larger and larger, and patients are coming in like tidal waves - apparently the doctors are getting cleverer, techniques are improving, medicines are more advanced and able to make sicknesses cure more effectively!

What is difficult to understand is that if doctors can cure people so quickly, why are there more patients and why are there more and more hospitals being built? Also, why are sicknesses growing day by day while patients are getting younger and younger. Does that mean that medicine is becoming more advanced?

Look around you - at your friends, relatives, etc. Are more of them going to hospital and seeking medical attention for their poorer health? Does that imply that each generation's health is getting poorer? Children's health, especially, seems to be deteriorating. In this present scenario are we supposed to be happier now that medical science is better than it was, and do we now marvel at how we are helped by these modern amazing discoveries and cures?
